The Mission for Our Children

Beginning in September, WPC will be using a new curriculum called Growing in Grace and Gratitude. This curriculum, developed by the Presbyterian Church USA, encourages the children to learn and practice hospitality, generosity, and love through the grace of God.

At WPC, it is our utmost priority to keep your children safe. We follow the Child Care Handbook composed by the PCUSA. As a part of their outline, our volunteers undergo comprehensive background checks and trainings. We strive to offer a fun and secure environment where your children can flourish and grow closer to God.

Becoming Christian is a life-long process. At WPC, we offer Church School for children during the worship service but welcome those children who would prefer to stay with their parents.  Our nursery is downstairs; it can be a quiet place for a mom or dad to take their little one if they are getting tired or fussy, although a baby playing quietly at the back of our sanctuary is fine, too. Confirmation classes are offered on a regular basis for any youth in our church who feel they are ready to become active members of the congregation, participating or leading in the life of the church.
